The Line - VR

Directed by Ricardo Laganaro, narrated by Rodrigo Santoro and produced by ARVORE Immersive Experiences, “The Line” is an embodied VR interactive narrative experience about love and fear of change. Set upon a scale-model of 1940s São Paulo the experience invites us to the world of Pedro and Rosa, two miniature dolls who are perfect for each other, but reluctant to break boundaries and overcome their limitations to live out their love story.

“The Line” World Premiere happened at the 76th Venice Film Festival , where it won the BEST VR EXPERIENCE AWARD. In 2020, “The Line” received the PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARD for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Programming.

The Asian Premiere happened at the Kaohsiung Film Festival where the experience also won the Best VR Experience Award, and the English Premiere took place at the Raindance Film Festival.

In 2020, ”The Line” was selected for the Virtual Arcade at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Step To The Line - VR

Shot entirely on location in California maximum-security prisons, Step to the Line is a documentary that aims to provoke a transformation in the spectator’s eyes about prisoners, the prison system, and even themselves.

Produced by Oculus, in association with Defy Ventures, Step to The Line, premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and selected for Sheffield Doc/Fest, FoST amongst many others totaling over 30 festivals. From mainstream and in-depth press coverage to acclaim from Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, the film has demonstrated VR’s ability to tell powerful stories in a meaningful way and is available on the Within app.

Step to the Line is also part of the MIT OPEN DOCUMENTARY LAB unique selection of award-winning 360º films by internationally renowned studios & VR content creators, through the lab’s platform Docubase.

The short doc is part of the program VR for Good created by Oculus to match ten rising filmmakers with ten nonprofits, to tell their stories through VR.

Based on the critically acclaimed theatrical performance The Object Lesson, objects in mirror AR closer than they appear was one of the five nominees for the StoryScapes Award at Tribeca Festival 2018. It fuses augmented reality technology with an immersive theater installation, inviting audiences to reflect on the relationship between new media and archaic objects; 21st-century technology and 19th-century magic; and memory and optical illusion. The piece creates a philosophical playground to explore the shifting relationship between images, memories, and things.
